How to Create a Loving Environment for Adventurous Moles
Julian in Belobog’s Administrative District will begin the Adventurous Moles side quest after players complete Old Foreman’s Treasure, reach Trailblaze level 18, and finish Hook’s Companion Mission. This is a recurring mission with rewards that include Trailblaze EXP, Sparse Aether and Stellar Jade.

1. Don’t Forget the Little Things
While the main story in Honkai Star Rail is centered around cosmic mysteries, the world of Jarilo-VI also has a few fun and frivolous quests that will net players some nice rewards. One of these is a scavenger hunt that takes players deep into the bowels of a mine to help out a group of kids with their shenanigans. The adventure is named Adventurous Moles, and it’s led by Hook’s second in command, Julian. He will task you with finding pages of a book he has called The Adventurous Moles, which contains clues to solving an assortment of puzzles.
To start the quest, head to Boulder Town and speak with Julian outside of Natasha’s Clinic. He will explain that he has a special edition of The Adventurous Moles, but it is missing quite a few pages. He will give you the preface and table of contents to read, which will provide clues as to where to find the missing pages.
The first page is located in the back of the Old Foreman’s Treasure. It’s located at the end of a pipe, so players will need to make their way to the bottom of the tunnel and locate it. After grabbing the item, return to Julian and he will task you with locating more pages. The next page can be found in Backwater Pass, on a bench near an open-air cafe. Players can use the transport hub space anchor to reach this location more quickly.
Afterward, players will need to head to Rivet Town and look for the final page in the area marked on the map. Once it is found, players should return to Julian in Boulder Town and discuss their findings. He will then instruct them to head to Belobog’s Administrative District and speak with bookseller Nika about the copy of The Adventurous Moles they helped restore.
The completed Adventurous Moles will reward players with Trailblaze EXP, Sparse Aether, Stellar Jade and more. It’s a bit of a hassle to complete, but it is definitely worth the effort in the end.
3. Don’t Forget to Play
Honkai Star Rail may have some pretty heavy cosmic mysteries to solve, but that doesn’t mean players can’t take time out for some fun and frivolous side quests. One such quest, titled The Adventurous Moles after the trio of mischief-making kids who lead them, can be found on Jarilo IV. While the main goal of this quest is to scavenge for treasure, it also includes some tricky puzzles that can make things a bit more challenging.
To begin The Adventurous Moles, you’ll need to have completed Hook’s Treasure companion quest, beaten Cocolia during the ‘The Return’ Trailblaze mission, and reached Trailblaze Level 24. Once all of these requirements have been met, you can talk to Julian in Boulder Town by Natasha’s Clinic to kick off the adventure. Julian will give you what’s left of the damaged children’s book, along with some clues that help you to find the missing pages.
The first page of the book can be found in Backwater Pass, near the area marked on our map above. Head to the area and interact with the chair that’s upside down on a table; it will then ask you to place it flat on the ground, and the next page will appear. For the second page, head to Rivet Town on Jarilo VI. In the area marked on the map above, look for a small cave near the Abandoned Market Space Anchor; enter it to see two shelves with boxes on them, and place the Miner’s Lamp on top of one of them to complete the task.
The last page can be found in the Central District on Jarilo VI. Head to the area marked on the map above and enter the Central Plaza Space Anchor. From there, walk up to Nika, the Publishing House Editor, and speak with her. When you mention that you’ve collected all of the pages of The Adventurous Moles, she will agree that the story should be published and reward you with another Trailblaze Level boost. In addition to using vinegar, you can also deter moles by reducing their food sources. Try planting some mole-repelling plants like daffodils, alliums, castor beans, marigolds, and Bradford pear trees in your garden or home. You can also attract natural predators, such as owls and hawks, by adding feeders for these animals to your garden.
4. Don’t Forget to Have Fun
As players travel through Honkai: Star Rail, they will find a variety of quests to complete. These missions help the Main Character build relationships, complete puzzles, and earn rewards. One of these missions is The Adventurous Moles. This is a fun, yet lengthy, quest that requires some patience and perseverance. To begin the quest, the player must speak with Julian in Boulder Town. He will give the player a tattered copy of a book called The Adventurous Moles. This book has no pages, but the preface and table of contents provide clues about where to find the missing pages.
The first page is located in Backwater Pass. This is located in the southeast part of the map. To make things easier, players can use the Transport Hub space anchor and teleport to this location. Once in the area, players can see a bench beside an open-air cafe. A missing page titled The Unexpected Parchment is on the bench.
After collecting this page, the player can head to Rivet Town. The next missing page is on a table in the northwest area of the map. To collect this page, players must interact with a chair and choose to place it upright on the ground.
After the player collects all of the missing pages, they must return to Julian in Boulder Town. He will tell them that they should go to Belobog’s Administrative District and speak with bookseller Nika about how they helped restore a copy of The Adventurous Moles. In exchange, the player will receive Trailblaze EXP, Sparse Aether and Stellar Jade.
