The adventure moles find the remaining treasures
Once you’ve beaten Cocolia during the Jarilo-VI Trailblaze Mission series and hit Trailblaze Level 21, seek out Julian beside Natasha’s Clinic in Boulder Town to activate The Adventurous Moles quest. He’ll give you a damaged children’s book with cryptic clues hinting at where to find the missing pages.
Travel to the Backwater Pass and use the Transport Hub space anchor for faster access to the open-air cafe in the southeast section. Arrange the guns in the gun racks based on the clues in the book to reveal a treasure chest.
The Great Mine
Although there’s plenty of serious matters to resolve and cosmic mysteries to solve in Honkai Star Rail, the game does have a few fun and frivolous quests to help players enjoy the experience. One of these is called The Adventurous Moles, a scavenger hunt that’ll reward the Trailblazer with some decent rewards.
The quest itself is triggered after the player completes Hook’s Treasure companion quest and reaches Trailblazer Level 24. Then, the main character can talk to Julian in Boulder Town, who will give him a damaged children’s book with pages missing. Julian will then give the player four clues hinting at the locations of these pages.
In the Great Mine, players can go to the Overlook space anchor and then follow navigation to reach a path that leads to the first page of The Adventurous Moles. Once the main character reaches the end of this path, they can collect the page from a barrel and then head back to the town of Briante.
The town is notable for being built around a huge mine shaft, with the inhabitants showing typical Freeborn disregard for danger by constructing rope bridges and even putting chairs on top of tables to access buildings at the bottom of the shaft. In order to find the second page, players need to teleport to Natasha’s Clinic fast travel location in Boulder Town and then talk to Julian.
Next, the player can teleport to the Abandoned Market space anchor in Rivet Town and then turn around after arriving. They will then need to collect the note from a table with other items, including a miner’s lamp, which they can place on a nearby railing to open up the first treasure chest.
The final two pages are found in the same way, with the main character needing to visit the Great Mine again and teleport to the Overlook space anchor and then follow the navigation. In the second part of this area, the main character will need to visit a room with crates and place the fourth miner’s lamp on the table in order to trigger the second treasure chest. Finally, the last treasure is located in a cave with storage shelves in Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone and requires a bit of luck as well as a quick solution to a puzzle.
Backwater Pass
Backwater Pass is a surprisingly complex area that contains many puzzles and formidable foes. It also contains seven basic treasure chests to uncover. If you’re looking to collect them all, it helps to start at the Goethe Mansion anchor and work your way down the map. Chest one is located in a narrow alley near a luggage set. The second is in a nook next to a Gate control switch. Chest three is a short run down the path from the second. Chest four is right through the gate and in front of a low wall.
Chest five is in the courtyard with a Formidable Foe. The sixth is west of the Transport Hub Space Anchor behind iron fences and a metal barrel. The seventh is at the Leisure Plaza anchor across from the other gate.
Rivet Town
In Rivet Town, you’ll find nine marked Treasure Chests and a few extra ones that you can earn by accomplishing different exploration objectives. However, one of the chests (the Warp Trotter) won’t appear until you progress through “The Past Will Return as an Avalanche” mission and return to this area later.
The town that’s home to Rodney, Herb and Lydia Copperbottom in Robots, Rivet Town is a slow-paced society of peaceful citizens who rely on old technology. It’s also where Rodney and Herb grew up, before they left for Robot City to pursue their dreams.
Despite being small, there are a few important locations in Rivet Town where you can find Treasure Chests in Honkai Star Rail. The first is located to the left of the walkway at the beginning of the map, behind some boxes filled with orange ores. The second is in front of a gate north of the Abandoned Market Space Anchor. Finally, the third can be found in The Tempering Workshop, southeast of Chest 2. It’s beside a crate of Geomarrow ore.
Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone
The final part of the Adventurous Moles side quest can be found by heading to Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone. This is another one of those Adventure Missions that requires a few things to tick off your list before you can unlock it. To begin with you will need to have completed Hook’s first companion mission, and beaten Cocolia during ‘The Return’ Trailblaze Mission. Once you have achieved both of these things you will be able to interact with Julian outside of Natasha’s Clinic in Belobog’s Underworld and begin The Adventurous Moles quest.
The adventure moles will be tasked with collecting pages from a special edition book called the Adventurous Moles that Julian has in his possession. The book is missing a number of pages however, and Julian will provide you with some hints and clues to help you locate them.
You can find the first page by visiting the Great Mine. Head to the Overlook fast travel location and go up the ramp. From there, look for a barrel with a note on it and pick it up. This will reveal a treasure chest.
The second page can be found in Rivet Town, but it is a bit more tricky to find than the first. To begin with, you will need to teleport to the Abandoned Market Space Anchor in the west of the area and enter a cave near it. Once inside, you will see a shelf with two boxes and another one with four boxes. In order to collect the page, you will need to move the two boxes on the left so that there are three guns on each shelf and the third box is on top.
The final page can be found in the Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone in Jarilo-VI. It is a bit more challenging to find, but the key is the hint given by Julian that tells you to watch for a “cheerful and smart soldier”. In this case, the cheery and smart soldier is checking each of the barricades to make sure they all have three guns on them. Once the last gun is added to a weapon rack in this area, the treasure chest will appear.
